Product Review: D-tee

Clad in a deep red velvet-bag, the D-tee arrived in my mail box. To be honest, I never gave much thought to tees. I usually go with whatever they have at the course.
Bottom Line: The D-tee won’t cure your busted swing, but, in my very unscientific study, I think they added some yards to my tee shots.

Pros:
- They don’t break: I’ve played the same tee over a few rounds. That said, the plastic can get a bit banged up.
- Well struck tee shots, especially irons, seem to fly higher.
- Comments from playing partners.
Cons:
- Not as long as your ‘standard’ long tee.
- Hard or very soft tee ground prove difficult to set up vertically straight.
- Price – All in cost is just under $1 per tee.
- Comments from playing partners.
Final Thoughts…
I busted these tees out several times over the last few months. My playing partners always commented on their unusual appearance. Everyone took me up on trying the D-tee out. In just every case, it seems like their well struck tee shots went higher and farther. Several people asked, “Do these tees conform to USGA regulations?” Pat O’Hara, D-tee’s inventor, assured me, “Yes they do conform with USGA rules and are playable in all tournaments etc.” All in all, I give D-tee a thumbs up. They are worth a try.
