My children and I enjoyed many years of golf under the tutelage of this wonderful man. I still can't hit a golf ball but the memories and fun will be cherished forever. No one ever made the game more fun. Thanks, Bob. You're the best. June Colangelo

I was fortunate to meet this amazing man years ago when PGA had me do a portrait for his story. A great teacher & a great person. Best of luck, Jon Rossi

I was fortunate enough to be one of Bob DeStefanos first students and part of the first Junior Golf program at Gardiners Bay - I still use his many swing thoughts to this day - I am proud to have known him and his teachings on golf and his emphasis on golf etiquette will remain with me always.

@J Wolf

I can attest. This is a great plan. However, there are diminishing returns on beers. After a couple, my game goes downhill - fast.

I want to play black course.
I'm a new york resident. But I don't have driver license.
How can I verify I'm a resident?
I have a conEdison payment document and lease agreement.
Is it enough?

I find it difficult to get a reasonable tee time on any of the courses there. I've stayed up till midnight and called and the phone system is just a pain. I want to play any of the courses (except black) and the best I could do sometimes is noon. I know that's not a bad tee time but playing at noon in July is hard with all of this heat we've been getting.

I've never played any of the courses and I think that's great. The fact that it's that hard to get a morning tee time at any of their courses is fantastic. From what I hear for $60 you can't go wrong. A friend of mine played there and told me he'll play any time, any course because they are private club quality. Anyone who doesn't understand the difficulties of getting on these courses obviously is not fortunate to have such a challenging, high quality courses near by.
