Club Review: Adams Idea a2 Hybrid

August 13, 2009 by deo_lookout · 2 Comments

idea_a2_hyb_largeAdmittedly, I am late to the hybrid game. I’ll tell you that my play is better with this club in my bag.

Playing a long par 5 early this season, I was faced with 250+ into the green from some short rough. As I pulled out my 2-iron, my playing buddy scolded me for not carrying a hybrid club. He handed me his brand new Taylor Made hybrid which I promptly smacked straight for a short pitch into the green. It was time for me to add this club to my bag.

After a little research, I decided to go with the old daddy of hybrid clubs – Adam’s Golf. I found the Adams Idea a2 2-iron on sale for $39.99 at Rock Bottom Golf and I’ve never looked back.

The weighting on this club just feels right. I love this club off the tee – hitting 230+ if I catch it on the screws. Off center hits don’t follow my normal hook ball flight. From the fairway I find that the ball flight is low, which makes sense for a 2-iron, and long.

Shopping from Rock Bottom Golf was great… no trouble with delivery.  After my experience, I decided to bring them on as a partner.  So, if you purchase from this link… you will help support LongIslandGolfNews.com.
