The on-going saga moves over the Poxabogue Golf Course restaurant – formerly Fairways – continued this past week. The Town of Southampton received two bids after a revision to the request for proposals (RFP). 27East.com reports:
In the most recent RFP, the town removed a stipulation that whomever won the bid would pay $7,500 per month as a base rent or 10 percent of their gross income, according to Assistant Town Attorney Kara Bak. The golf course is owned by both Southampton and East Hampton towns.
According to Ms. Bak, a contract will be awarded on February 22nd.
