Richard Rocchio, President & Executive Director of the Long Island Golf Course Superintendents Association was in touch with the following news.
The Long Island Golf Course Superintendents Association has chosen Stonebridge Golf Links in Smithtown as the 2014 Long Island Course of the Year. Stonebridge has always been high on our list of contenders and with the recent addition of Lessings restaurant and catering they soared to the top of our list. The golf course is one of Long Island’s best and General Manager Iain Wilson, PGA Pro provides exceptional teaching and pro shop services. Choosing a course every year is difficult due to the number of outstanding venues available to golfers on Long Island. When a course is chosen by LIGCSA it is recognized for exceptional management, course condition, teaching facilities, pro shop and other amenities such as food service.
