Keep tabs on this post… I’ll be updating it during the next three days. Hosted by the Suffolk Country Community College (SCCC), the golf show & expo is the largest on Long Island.
4pm: Show’s over. I’ll post more Michael Breed photos this week. Really good stuff.
Michael Breed takes the stage. I really enjoy his demonstration – great common sense tips.
Here, Breed suggests to get the feel for hitting through the golf ball with a shoe box. The old adage, “hit down on the golf ball” Breed mused is a ploy “…to keep golf instructors in business.”
Tip Two from Breed. Hotel room key cards can solve your slice. Here’s how… Stick the card in your glove (as pictured below), which will stop you from opening the club face.
11am: Day Three Begins. Today should be good. We’ve got Michael Breed and more Peter Stern on the stages. Plus, all the wonderful exhibitors.
5:20pm – Got my picture… take a look…
4:45pm – John Daly is just off the stage. A good queue of people are waiting for autographs. Let’s see if I can grab on one at the end. Incidentally, John’s ex is making news about a tell-all book due to drop two days before the Masters.
2:30pm – Peter Stern is back on the stage taking questions from the audience about the golf swing. Come by at 1pm on Sunday for another dose.
1:30pm – News Day’s Mark Herrmann stopped by the booth. Keep an eye on his coverage, great writing.
12noon – The main event…John Daly takes the stage. He took some questions from the crowd and spoke about topics ranging from life on the tour to the 130lbs he recently lost.
Can’t beat this deal… $10 for entry AND 6 months of Golf Digest or Golf World.
10:00am – And we’re off… Day two of the Long Island Golf Show is on.
8:00pm – Day One is over. See you all tomorrow
6:45pm – Peter Stern of Peter Stern Golf Academy takes the stage for some tips. Back on stage at 2pm on Saturday, 3/26.
6:13pm – Traffic at the show seems to be slowing. Good time to come thru…
TIP: The putt breaks left.
The shows about to start… It should be a good one. Tickets are $10, free for kids under 12. There are no discounted tickets or discount coupons available.
Here are some photos…
