Winter Golf – Nassau Edition

This winter has been cold…then warm…then cold again. Next time it warms up, here are a few options to get out the sticks and play.

A few tips:

• Ask: what greens are available to play – normal or temporary?
• Ask: will there be carts available? Path only?
• Ask: when’s the last tee time? Most course’s last tee time is 2:30 (that’s only 2 to 3 hours of good light)
• Weather Permitting – call the morning of to confirm… even if they are ‘open for winter golf’, most courses close due to snow or ice.

Bethpage – The Blue, Yellow and Green (if demand requires) courses are open.
Cantaigue – This nine-holer is open and so are its covered/heated driving range.
Eisenhower – The Blue and White are open, so is the driving range
Glen Cove – Open with temp greens, Thursday thru Sunday.
Lido Beach – Open with full greens and carts
North Woodmere – open year-round
Peninsula – open year round
